Recently, during a powerful time of worship, I saw a vision of Jesus coming in and turning over tables in our lives. I wondered what this meant, and then the Lord spoke:
"I am going to every place in the lives of My people where the enemy has set up tables and has been making transactions with them. He has been giving them something false rather than the pure things that I have for them. I am turning those tables over and now a holy and pure transaction will happen for many. I am bringing them to the Table of the Lord."
This is a very serious time of preparation in the Body of Christ. God's love for us is so deep that He is going to the very roots of bondages, false beliefs, and lies that have set up "thrones" or altars in our lives. I not only saw tables being overturned, but I saw a foot kicking over unholy altars in lives.
It is important, as you become aware of unholy and unhealthy mindsets or actions in your life, that you sit before the Lord and ask Him what He wants to do about these issues. Then cooperate with His Spirit to dismantle these altars and overturn these tables. He wants to take authority over any place the enemy has exercised influence in your life.
A Great Turn Around
The morning I received this vision, my husband and I were guests at a church in Washington State. I shared the vision with the congregation and shared how God has been turning over tables in my life. I explained that the Lord has been dealing with roots of doubt, removing from me every vestige of security I have rooted in mammon.
I want every act of obedience to the voice of my Savior to be grounded in confident faith and assurance that He is guiding me. I do not want my obedience to be dependent on whether or not I have the funds to fulfill what He has asked. God is resetting our "default position" to faith rather than fear. He does not ask us to do something without a plan in place to provide the means to fulfill it.
When I had finished sharing the vision, the pastor of the church, who had been interviewing us while we were seated at a table in front of the congregation, asked the people if they would come and set a financial offering for us on that table.
I loved that while God was having me share this, there was a physical table in front of us. Over the years, I don't believe I have ever spoken while sitting in a chair behind a table. This was a divine setup.
When it was done, a lady came up to me and said, "Did you see how when you shared about God overturning the table of false securities in your life that immediately He made the table before you – one of blessing, honor, and provision? He just turned it around for you."
I had not realized that a prophetic act was taking place right in front of me. God was displaying the truth before us that, as He turns over the tables set up by the enemy, He turns them into the table of the Lord. He has set before us a banqueting table filled with all that we need and all His goodness displayed. Jesus is once again given His place at the head of the table in our lives.
We are a House of Prayer
Matthew 21:12-13 AMP And Jesus went into the temple (whole temple enclosure) and drove out all who bought and sold in the sacred place, and He turned over the four-footed tables of the money changers and the chairs of those who sold doves. He said to them, "The Scripture says, 'My house shall be called a house of prayer; but you have made it a den of robbers.'"
We have been called to be a temple of the Lord, and yet the enemy has set up tables where unholy transactions take place. God is calling us to be a house of prayer; a place where His presence dwells and His will can be accomplished. God is dealing with every place robbery may be in us, working through us. He is casting out the robbers from our temple so that we may be a house of prayer.
The pursuit of His presence and the agreement with His intercession to see His Kingdom come to Earth as it is in Heaven is our cry. The Father longs to have our lives become a place where Heaven is released on Earth and His presence changes the atmosphere. If we are to change an atmosphere of fear, then we must be people of peace; if we are to change an atmosphere of deception, then we must be a people of truth. If we are to be ones who restore, we must have every place of robbery removed.
Isn't this good news?! How wonderful of our Father to overturn every table of robbery in our lives. How amazing to be able to come to the table of the Lord each day and how merciful He is to remove every place of influence the enemy exercises in our lives.
Now is the time to let Jesus overturn every table in your life keeping you from the true table of the Lord. He is preparing a people for Himself that walk in a pure pursuit for His presence and that will hunger for His righteousness alone. They will eat from the table of the Lord and invite many to come to His table in the days to come.
Psalm 23:5-6 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
